About The Author :
Sonu Whaidh is a Senior Optometrist, author, educator, and digital content creator committed to making Optometry and Ophthalmology education simple and accessible in the Hindi language.
When most educational resources in the medical and optometry fields were available only in English, he took the initiative to publish “Ophthalmic Assistant Notes in Hindi,” one of the pioneering Hindi-language study resources for Ophthalmic Assistant and Optometry students. The book received tremendous appreciation from students across India and became a trusted reference for learning ophthalmology in an easy-to-understand format.
Continuing this mission, the Second Edition has been extensively revised with updated concepts, improved explanations, colourful clinical images, practical notes, and integrated QR-code video learning to provide a modern and engaging educational experience.
Alongside book writing. Sonu Whaidh runs the educational YouTube channel “Ophthalmology in Hindi,” where he explains ophthalmology and optometry concepts in a simple, practical, and student-friendly manner. Through his books, videos, and social media platforms, he continues to help thousands of students build strong theoretical knowledge and clinical skills.
In addition to his work in optometry education, Sonu Whaidh is also involved in various creative fields. He writes and performs official Christian songs and poetry, and he is also a fashion designer.
