About the author
Sharon Elizabeth Varghese was born in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She has been writing since childhood when her father gifted her a letter writing pad and pen. Sharon thanks him for being the spark that ignited her writing skill. She was fond of sending letters and postcards to her family and friends. Her life revolved around reading, watching movies and enjoying soft classics and melody. Her life experience from Riyadh, India and USA has given her immense exposure to depict her thoughts and perceptions in the form of articles in her blog “Unboxing my thoughts”. She was an active participant in essay writing competitions, college magazines and has also freelanced for some regional magazines. Before commencing her journey as an author, she completed her graduate degree in Commerce from St. Teresa’s College, Cochin and MBA from Karunya University, Coimbatore, India. She writes her interests on art, social causes, poetry and is a great film critic. Sharon has a successful career record in finance; she used to be a television anchor, new reader and also pursued fashion modelling as an engaging pursuit within regional media at Cochin, India.
She lives in Staten Island, New York with her husband and extended family. Sharon was working with Ernst and Young, India while she simultaneously completed her Master of Arts in British English Literature from Indira Gandhi National open University. When she’s not writing, Sharon enjoys cooking diverse cuisines, vlogging on YouTube, sharing recipes through her blog space, singing light music and an aspiring Zumba activist.
