Description
The journey in disguise of a dream started in March 2019 when we the compilers met through a group of writers. I was the first to give this idea of publishing an anthology together. Exams were rolling on either side and as soon as it got over we began searching publishers and a team for working together as a family. A team was finally made and the publishers were chosen after much dilemma. So, this project too got its name “The Unspoken Tales of a Hero” under a team named Soul Explorers. All being the first timers, zero experienced peoples, we started with work. Making posters to share, creating form for submission, collecting the entry fees soon became the routine for us. People were coming in lesser quantity and as being the first project we all became the constant naggers. Requesting and pleading too got added. The co-authors were hard to get with low publicity but we managed and crossed the 50 in a month. Our closest friends too turned down this project. Soon problems got started regarding payment issues, confusion regarding submission. Even a team member too backed out at the end without any prior reason. Irritating persons were not that less. Some peoples even discouraged us regarding this. At times we lose the temper and stopped replying even. Things got hotter both sides. Many people questioned us regarding the topic, word limit and the entry fees we took. We argued with people but somehow some people were still on our side and supported us. Soon the exams again took the roll and we had to pause the work till may. June month had the compiling process started, making of manuscripts, editing it numerous times. Despite of this, some impatiently angry peoples started texting us that when will it be published? How long will you take? And we had always the same answers- due to our exams we will resume the work lately. Targets were made though but, less fulfilled. We never thought people will even question us regarding this beautiful topic of ‘Father’. And eventually the process again resumed, we completed compiling and took us 2 weeks to make everything error free. People in the group responded less and we had to ask everyone personally to check the final manuscript once. Finally, tiring things ended with late responses and it took another 5 days of adding some missing entries. Late night workings, hour long calls, texts, sitting in front of the laptop and mobile in the other hand finally payed off. As the first project, this anthology will be really close to us. And this is out as now, we all hope that the co-authors and other readers find it alluring to read. Wish you all a good luck with this writing passion of yours. Lastly, Thank You everyone for being there for us.
