Description

Indian Constitution is comprised of a composite set of Articles that clearly defines norms to govern the social behaviour and conduct as a Citizen in the Country, herein referred to as Employees and workforce.
Notwithstanding, the changing economic requirements in concurrent position, the Government of India has been increasingly alert on the requirements of business in addition. Therefore, it has been gradually and progressively working towards employee reform with a view to improve the ease of doing business in India.
The Constitute of India has set a benchmark for devising and approving any legislation in our Country. India is the only country across the globe which possesses the largest written constitution. It is the Government, authorized under the Constitution, to modify or annul any provision of the extant legislation which is in force in India.
In India, the Union Government of India has subsumed 44 existing labour laws in to 29 labour laws for constitution of Labour Code 2020 and 12 of the laws have been repealed by the Government as those were the laws which were not suiting to the emergent trend of business, workplace culture, global impact, etc. These were proving to be hindrances for the growth of the industries across all sectors.
Labour Code is primarily devised to ensure the motto of the Government which is “ease of doing business in India”. Finally, 29 acts comprising 1232 sections incorporated into massively streamlined just 4 Codes with 479 sections.
