Description
Dr. Arjun Y. Pangannavar’s ‘ Maha Kaavya Valmiki Ramayana: Ayodhya Kaanda, Volume-2’ is the epic poem, in folk-style Kannada language of north Karnataka, written on the basis of original epic poem Ramayana of Ancient poet Sage Valmiki with explanatory notes and analytical inferences. It is next volume of Baal Kaanda of Valmiki Ramayana, the great epic. It focused on the events happened in the life of young and married Rama. The original Valmiki Ramayana’s Ayodhya Kaanda has 119 chapters(Sargas) and 3039 couplets-stanzas wherein the efforts are made to filter them and select the only relevant shlokas (Couplets/two line stanza) and Sargas (chapters) and the events and stories related to the near reality of age and Rama’s life so it is written in 117 chapters and 2494 couplet-stanzas.
