About the book

The script of “STAND-BALL” was prepared in the year 1984 but my father (Hidayat Ali’s) entire life was dedicated to playing and coaching the youngsters, hence “STAND-BALL” could not become a reality for a very long time. At that time, I was merely a student of class 8th and I had made up my mind that I would make my career in sports. I completed my master’s degree in sports and later on joined service and forgot the game entirely. Suddenly during dusting my house I got the script of “STAND-BALL”. I got the script printed and presented it to my father on 7th April 2008 as a birth-day gift. He was extremely happy and said that this sport will make its mark in Indian sports arena. – Javid Ali
