ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Dilip K. Baishya is a multi-dimensional personallity and a truly intellectual person. He has published many articles in assamese and english in various newspaper, magazine and scientific technical research papers in various journels of national and international levels. He is an alumni of the Department of Geological Sciences, University of Gauhati, Guwahati, Assam and obtained M.Sc. and Ph. D. degrees from the same University. He is an ex-senior official of the oil & gas company and a life member of the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists, India. The author has a vast technical knowledges and experiences in the field of oil and gas sector. He has also trained on top management activities for organisation at Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India.
The ‘Snehabandhan’ is the first fictional novel of the author, written on the basis of the various cultural activities and sharing of knowledge of people living in Assam. Basically, it is a social, romantic story of medical students and various festivals among the different communities.
