The book focuses the issues of sexual harassment in the workplace. The purpose of this book is to serve as a composite for all stakeholders and edify them on workplace sexual harassment law. It aims to bring a better understanding and awareness of an issue rooted in complex economic, social and cultural factors.
In this book, the POSH Act has established factors of the consensuses, such as gender equality in the workplace, gender-specific violence, and improper sexually coloured behaviour, to establish a strong legislative framework. The book talks on impact of the
POSH Act as an effective legal remedy for women who are facing sexual harassment in the workplace. Sexual harassment has no clear boundary and fixed criteria of classification. To the understanding of the law makers’ sexual harassment is an act which is not only physical but also mental and agonizing in nature.
