Plant protection textbook has been written to provide basic information about the plant protection, mode of transformation of pathogens and disease management for undergraduate and postgraduate students. This textbook would be useful for students, teachers and researchers to study and easy to understand the basic concepts of plant protection and plant disease. The plant protection book covers the field of plant pathology and it includes understanding the sick plants and nature of the plant disease. About the author
Dr. K. Yasmin is Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Botany, Shri Sakthikailassh Women’s College, Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. She is specialized in crop breeding, plant molecular biology. She has vast experience in the field of radiation biology and mutation breeding. She completed Master of Science and Ph.D., in Botany. She was received prestigious award DST-INSPIRE FELLOW from Department of Science and Technology (DST, New Delhi). She was received InSc research Excellence award from Institute of Scholars, Bengaluru, Karnataka and awarded as a Best Women Researcher in Botany from PEARL Foundation, Madurai. She published book, book chapters, various research papers and articles. She is acting as a life member in professional societies and reviewer in reputed journals.

Dr.D.Arulbalachandran is Assistant Professor in Department of Botany, School of Life sciences, Periyar University, Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. He has vast experience in molecular breeding and plan physiology. He is specialized in crop molecular breeding and stress physiology. He has received various research projects from UGC-Start up grand and TNSCST (Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology). He has organized national and international seminar, conferences. He has acting resource person and chair person in national and internal conferences. He published books, book chapters, research papers and articles in reputed journals. He is acting as academic committee member in Periyar University. He is acting as a life member in professional societies and reviewer in reputed journals.
