About the author

Dr. Anu Girdhar is MDS in Prosthodontics, Professor and HoD In National Dental college DeraBassi . She is the National President of Women Dental Council as well. Her journey in poetry started during the period of lockdown. She has written many poems and some of them have been published in various web magazines and various anthologies. She is the author of a book “As the life unfolds”. She has won many poetry challenges and has been awarded for her writing skills. She is the member of Chandigarh literary Society. She has been awarded twice by Gujarat Sahitya Academy Award . She is the recipient of Rabindernath Tagore literary Award for 2022.

About the book

“Heartstrings” This book depicts the deepest feelings, the strongest affections, emotions and reactions of woman’s life. It is written in a simple understandable language which will connect to everyone. Emotions in my experience can not be covered in single word, so I have touched various human emotions in this collection of 60 poems, covering the topics of self love, gratitude, acceptance, romance, life, death and many more.
