“This is a story of Raajan of Shivpur village. Raajan is brought up and educated by toilings of his poor widow mother Rukmini. A leopard kills her husband while he was cutting wood in the forest. She now runs here and there in search of livelihood and knocks at Ananadpur Haveli of a Landlord. The landlord does not offer him an honourable way for alleviating hunger and poverty, but instead tries to trap and bargain her beautiful and shapely body.”
