The Pharmacy Council of India has recently re-structured the syllabus of the Bachelor of Pharmacy course. In the effort to make the content more relevant to the practice of Pharmacy in its current form, we now find new, important subjects introduced, and Quality Assurance is one of them.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Gampa Vijaya Kumar is a distinguished pharmacy academician and researcher, renowned for his innovative contributions to pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Gampa’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Pharmacy, a Master of Technology in Biotechnology, and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Andhra University, Vizag.
Dr. Gampa’s research expertise includes analytical method development, protein modeling, mucoadhesive synthesis, and enzymatic synthesis of chiral drug molecules. He has published over 452 research papers in prestigious scientific journals and presented at numerous national and international conferences.
Dr. Gampa’s achievements have been recognized with numerous awards and fellowships, including the National Excellence Award (2023), Best Teacher Award (2022), HoD of the Year (2021), Excellence in Research Award (2020), Empower Pharmacist Award (2019-20), and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement Award (2019). Dr. Gampa has mentored over 10 Ph.D. scholars and authored eight textbooks, demonstrating his commitment to education and research. He is a life member of several professional bodies, including the FIP, AASP, IPA, ACPI, ISTE, IHPA, SPER, and IPGA.

Dr. Ganesh Kumar Gudas working as a Professor & HOD in Srikrupa Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Siddipet, Telangana. He has been awarded the Bachelor’s degree (B.Pharm) from Kakatiya University; Master’s degree (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutics from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai; Degree of Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from JNTU Hyderabad. He has experience of more than 15 years in teaching and research. He has 2 books and more than 19 publications in his name in variousnational and international journals and guided 23 M.Pharmacy students, 2 Ph.D students are perusing under him.
He has 2 Patents among one is grant. He has participated many National and International Conferences/ Seminars, reviewer of many journals and also reviewed books of various reputed publishers. He received 3 best poster awards for his research work in International conferences. He is a life time member of APTI and registered with Telangana State pharmacy Council, Indian Pharmaceutical Association and Association of Pharmacy Professionals.
