About the book

A Tale of Stars and Fireflies is a collection of soul-stirring poems written by two poets. The poems are heart-wrenching yet soothing, thought-provoking but serene, intense but light. The integral theme of the collection is life and how in darker times a person can find the light. The collection eloquently emphasizes things, feelings, emotions and people which illuminates when the circumstances are insufferable.

About the author

The Collection has been composed and compiled by Mohd Afroz and Mariam Rashid. This poetry collection would be their second common title together. They were previously published by Penguin Random House India in collaboration with Romedy Now in #getpublished campaign under the name ‘You are all I need’ edited by Ravinder Singh. Mariam Rashid is a post-graduate of Aligarh Muslim University and an aspiring researcher. She is currently working as an English Language instructor for OETPMT(Online English Training and Tutorial Program for Madrasa/ Minority Teachers). Her inclination towards creative writing and poetry has been inculcated in the land of great poets and authors, Aligarh. She started writing in the early stages of her life in Urdu and English and gradually was published by local magazines in both languages. Her notable work is a short story titled ‘Flare’ published in ‘You are all I need’. Presently, Mariam is also working on her Instagram writing handle @stars_n_fireflies to expand her audience. Mohd Afroz is an engineer by profession, and storyteller by heart. He is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Business Management and runs an event management firm. He has previously self published a book titled, A Patronous in my Wanderlust, which is a collection of poetry and prose. His short story titled ‘I’m no good human’ published in ‘You are all I need’ has been appreciated by many reviewers on Goodreads and Instagram. He is currently working on reflecting his thoughts upon his Instagram writing handle @afro_writes_ .
