Interview Questions

Akhila Saroha: I would like to begin by congratulating you on the publication of “Money Lessons on How to Avoid Daily Financial Stress”. How has the response to the book been so far?

Anna Liza Naik: Thank you, so much! My book has been recently published and I have initially promoted it to my friends and relatives. Some of them have purchased already either in paperback or ebook format.

Akhila Saroha: What led to the idea of writing of such a strong issue? Were there any events that inspired the work?

Anna Liza Naik: Years ago, I was broke due to my bad spending habits. When I learnt how to save, manage and grow money, I got inspired to write a book. As a new financial educator, I want to share the knowledge I have on personal finance to other people.

Akhila Saroha: What are your views about the present day writing? Do you think it does complete justice to the different classes and social groups of the society?

Anna Liza Naik: It’s easy to publish nowadays through KDP. There are also self-publishing companies like Evincepub who are capable of serving from formatting to marketing. Even an elementary student can publish, I guess.

Akhila Saroha: Are there any authors that you enjoy reading or any books which are your favourites?

Anna Liza Naik: Yes. Robert Kiyosaki. Finance books.

Akhila Saroha: Have you ever been into financial stress?

Anna Liza Naik: Yes, definitely! And it motivated me to write this book.

Akhila Saroha: Your writing has given a very strong introduction of your potential as a writer. Can the readers expect more from you in the future? Please share about your future projects.

Anna Liza Naik: I have a plan of writing another book on finance again. Let’s see how it goes.

Akhila Saroha: What is the story behind the title of your work, “Money Lessons on How To Avoid Daily Financial Stress”?

Anna Liza Naik: Financial education was not taught at our home when I was a small kid. My environment revolved in bad spending and taking loans. I don’t want people to experience that same environment. Financial literacy must start at home.

Akhila Saroha: How easy or difficult was it for you to research on this strong topic and finishing it well?

Anna Liza Naik: I am a financial educator since last year, hence, it was not hard for me to research on this topic. It took me four months to complete this book.

Akhila Saroha: In the present time, lot of poeple is facing this issue. What is your message to them?

Anna Liza Naik: If you are a parent, you have to teach your children proper financial education. But parents should be financially educated of course, in the first place. As the saying goes, you cannot give what you don’t have.

Akhila Saroha: If you were to describe your book in a few words without giving any spoilers, what would those words be?

Anna Liza Naik: A mindset and behavioural changing book.

Akhila Saroha: Do you think that the presentday writing has forgotten to write on issues which more or less form the heart of India? What according to you, are the other issues which have been ignored in the recent times?

Anna Liza Naik: I don’t think it is forgotten. There are numerous authors in India and many have addressed the issues in Indian society precisely, and their writings have helped for the welfare of the people.

Akhila Saroha: Thank you very much for sparing your time. I look forward to reading more books by you in the future. All the best!

Anna Liza Naik: Thank you!
