About The Book :

Born in the small village of Sihundi in Katni, Madhya Pradesh, Prakash Chandra Jain is a retired Assistant General Manager of Central Bank of India. After completing his M.A. in Hindi Literature and Prakrit, he has been actively engaged in writing and translation work related to Hindi literature, Prakrit, Jain studies, and philosophy.

So far, two collections of short stories—“Matadeen Ka Kurta Evam Anya Kahaniyan” and “Hiran Nadi Ke Jugnu Evam Anya Kahaniyan”—and a novel, “Jai Jai Aunty,” have been published. He has also authored a book on Prakrit literature titled “Prakrit Sahitya Evam Jain Dharma Ki Bhumika”, along with an English-translated book.

The author has been honoured with a Gold Medal in Hindi Literature and has also received several national awards for his contributions to the banking sector. His literary work reflects his deep connection with rural life, Indian culture, human relationships, and the rich traditions of Hindi and Prakrit literature.

About The Author:

Shri Prakash Chandra Jain’s first collection of poems, “Aangan Mein Utarti Dhoop”, is the voice of the eternal human being who, despite living among the concrete walls of the city, has never forgotten the earthy fragrance of the village soil. These poems express, on one hand, the pain of being disconnected from one’s roots, while on the other, they reflect a strong desire to preserve the simplicity and innocence of village life.

Through these poems, readers can experience the gentle sound of flowing river water, village gatherings under the shade of neem trees, the smoke rising from traditional cooking fires, the simple struggles of everyday life, the melody of folk songs, and many other elements that keep relationships and human connections alive.
