About The Author
Akshay Prasad Datar is an Indian academic and administrative professional who has been associated with Savitribai Phule Pune University since 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and an Executive MBA in Human Resource Management, and has been actively involved in educational initiatives, academic workshops, and youth festivals, with a strong focus on student development and inclusive education.
As a writer, Akshay’s work largely explores educational innovation, research impact, and policy reform. His writing reflects a blend of practical institutional experience and forward-thinking perspectives on modern education, design thinking, and skills development aimed at strengthening learning and research ecosystems.
Ashes of Tomorrow marks his first foray into non-academic science fiction. The novel represents a creative shift from his research-driven work, while retaining the same concern for ethics, systems, and human agency—this time explored through a speculative lens.
Alongside his academic career, Akshay continues to write on education and policy, seeking meaningful ways to bridge innovation, equity, and the future of learning.
