About the book

Poetry is literary work woven with words in which the expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by the use of distinctive style and rhythm. When the quality of beauty and intensity of emotion flows from the soul, draped in words into a rhythm, a poem is born. A string formed from connections garnered in the different steps taken along the pathways of life, through observation and realizations leave profound imprint on the mind. The experiences get stored in the thoughts as words, ready to take a rhythmic flow laced in an emotion that takes the tune of poetry. The leisure gained during the lock down gave the much needed silence to let out those words spring up from the thought, to be woven into poetry. ‘When the Soul Weaves’…….(Poems) is one such attempt by the poet, penned on themes close to her soul from life, nature and spirituality that everyone can relate to.

About the Author

Nandini Anandkumar was born in Port Blair, capital of Idyllic Archipelago, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. She spent her childhood in the islands. Her parents originally hail from God’s Own Country another beautiful abode. She did her schooling in the islands and moved to mainland to do her graduation and post-graduation in agriculture at Coimbatore. There, she met the love of her life, Dr.S.Anandkumar whom she married. She started her career as an Agricultural Officer under the Government of Kerala and left the job after her marriage. She then moved to Puducherry, the place of her spouse. She is gifted with two children a daughter and a son, who are pursuing their courses in medicine. Currently she works as a teacher at ONGC Public School. She is passionate in guiding the student fraternity entrusted to her, not only academically but also holistically. Many of the students mentored by her are well placed in career now. She is zealous in spirituality and nature.
