About the book
In the last ten years, while travelling and living in different cultures, author Anubhav Kandpal observed some of the ways modern life disconnected us from ourselves. As a millennial who often felt lost in a busy world, he looked to philosophy and spirituality for answers to questions like: What is time? Why do we work? Why do people see the world differently? We Get to Live reveals his discoveries that have led him to finding peace and knowing there are no mistakes. Our life paths, like each cloud, are perfect. This book looks beyond the divisions and separations we humans have created for our convenience, allowing us to marvel at the unity of the ways we are connected to it all. Anubhav explores how the natural world not only sustains but also inspires us with its timeless wisdom about our lives, the flow of time, and our growth as human beings. He shows how we need to see the world in a new way and develop a concept of nature that includes us, how a meaningful life is one where happiness is irrelevant and pleasure is secondary. By combining concepts from spirituality, philosophy, and Oriental religions, We Get to Live takes a deep dive into the mind and how it builds stories to help us make sense of the world, and into a heart-centred spirituality that reveals each wave to be the entire ocean.
