ABOUT THE BOOK
Paperboats – sailing life through letters is a book that takes us into the lives of Ritu and Kiwi, two pen friends with age, experience, and conditioning differences over a time span of around 15 years. Coming from different backgrounds, they eventually get to know each other through the letters they write. These letters touch upon parenting, childhood trauma, career, friendships, love, marriage, purpose, death, and many more.
Letters bring us a sense of happiness wrapped in nostalgia, this book tries to encapsulate the same slow feeling. Paperboats tries to be a silent listener accompanying you in your journeys when you associate with Ritu or Kiwi at different points of time, without either trying to judge you or teach you in any form. It is just there to be with you.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bhumika is an engineer by profession, an observer, and a writer by heart. Good music, books, and pets bring out her best smile. She takes pride in making and understanding the lamest jokes. Never really grew up and is a perfect combination of being maturely – immature. You can find her talking to some stranger, looking at the sky and trees, and observing everything else but ignoring the known lot. Her heart overpowers her brain, yet headstrong when time demands. Her stories come from the people she meets, the experiences she shares, and the life that comes her way.
