ABOUT THE BOOK
This book is the story of my life. As the subtitle suggests, it deals mainly with life after school. The book covers important phases of my life ….some of which were very tragic, some life changing and some enlightening. It begins by giving a quick peek of my school life where I was a frontbencher and then moves on to my adult life where I settled nicely into the role of a homemaker. Life got caught up fulfilling the different roles one has to take up after marriage. Then I reached that stage of my life where I had time to introspect, look back and make amends, if possible.
I hadn’t done badly in life but there was a feeling of dissatisfaction. I was not at my best as a homemaker. A voice inside me kept saying that I was capable of more, that this was not all there was to my destiny, that my story was far from complete because I aspired to become ‘a story’. The frontbencher had become a homemaker because she did not have ambitions but the homemaker had aspirations only the frontbencher could fulfill. Can the frontbencher step in, after all the years gone by, to reconcile the shortcomings of the homemaker so that both can live in harmony?
Can the homemaker find her ‘thing’, which will help her create a destiny that will go beyond her report cards and give her an identity, a feeling of fulfillment?
Read the book to find out.
