Description
ABOUT THE BOOK
This book is planned to provide knowledge for students and learners in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Nanoscience and nanotechnology explain an expanding research area that involves structures, devices, and systems with novel properties. Nanotechnology deals with materials or structures on nanometer scales, typically ranging from 1 nm to several hundred nanometers. Nanotechnology is the synthesis, fabrication, design, and application of nanomaterials, and the fundamental understanding of the structural properties, physical properties, electrical properties, and also material dimensions. Nanotechnology has an extremely broad range of potential applications in nanoscale electronics and optoelectronics, and therefore it requires the formation of and contribution from multidisciplinary teams of physicists, chemists, materials scientists, and engineers. The aim of this book, “Synthesis, Characterization, and Multi-functional Applications of Nanomaterials,” is to give brief statements of the fundamentals and established techniques of synthesis, fabrication, characterization, and applications of nanomaterials and nanostructures so as to provide readers with a systematic and coherent picture about the synthesis, fabrication, and characterization of nanomaterials.
