ABOUT THE BOOK
I turn my pain into poetry.”” This book is a collection of poems that capture my early teenage experiences—my sorrows, growth, and the many facets of adolescence. From middle school onward, my struggles with bullying, betrayal, and melancholia have fueled my writing. These poems reflect my journey, showcasing my thoughts on happiness, pain, and compassion. While I’m still a teenager and my work may not be perfect, these poems are a significant part of my story and my love for storytelling. They contain references to nature, folklore, and popular songs, aiming to engage and resonate with readers. Navigating life with its plot holes, I hope my art touches your heart as I continue finding my purpose. If you stay with me until the end, it would mean the world to me
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The writer is a young individual (aged 15 at the time of writing) with ambitions, much like any other high school student with aspirations. Born in the beautiful city of temples, Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. As she navigates her way through high school, the writer looks forward to the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead, eager to make the most of her time.
She always had a love for writing and art in general, during her free time she goes around writing poetry, creating art, or playing her guitar. She is, like everyone, filled with spontaneous urges to be expressive, fueled by spontaneous outbursts of creativity. With English and literature being her best interests in school, she is quite eloquent with her writings. “I used to be very shy, to even speak up or to show my writings to anyone, thanks to encouragement from a lot of people I overcame my stage fright, in the sense that now I’m not afraid to showcase my skills. I’ve always loved writing, and now it’s finally time to come out of my shell, out of my comfort zone.” Says she, though skeptical at first, she, thanks to the encouragement of teachers, family, and friends finally decided to publish her book for the first time, after a lot of hesitation and second thoughts. As a proud Gen Z, she navigates the same challenging world as her peers, capturing its complexities and nuances through her writing. While she may still find her voice, she takes pride in every word she penned. As she delves into the realm of poetry, she hopes to connect with fellow readers, sharing her unique perspective and experiences as a first-time author.
