Socio-Economic Profile of Women with Disabilities in Mizoram

Description

This book traces and analyze the socio-economic conditions of women with disabilities in Mizoram. The book focuses on various socio-economic profile such as age, marital status, family and household, education, religion, employment status, land possession, causes and types of disabilities and the book highlighted the current conditions of women with disabilities in terms of these areas. The book is based in Mizoram and the study includes two districts in Mizoram which are Aizawl and Lunglei, two of the biggest districts in terms of sizes and population. The outcome of the study is presented in this book.

About the author

Dr. Lawmsangpuia Ralte is the first Ph. D degree recipient from the Department of Sociology, Mizoram University. He has published research articles and book reviews in peer-reviewed journals and newspapers/blogs and presented papers in many International and National Seminars. He has authored a book on disability in Mizo language and is a UGC-JRF/SLET awardee.
