This collection is dedicated to those untold, unheard and unseen aspects of women’s life which we feel around us every day but do not have the courage to put them into words. In these poems, woman is not just a character, she is a point of view, she is not just a mother, sister, daughter or wife but a living sensation which sows tenderness on the hard ground of society. These creations do not establish any ideal nor do they raise the flag of rebellion. It is only an attempt to understand, listen and walk with women. If while reading these poems, you hear your mother’s voice, your daughter’s smile, your wife’s tiredness or the forgotten woman within you, then consider that this collection is not incomplete.

About the Author

Dr. Seema Jain is currently working as the Head of the Hindi Department in Government College, Saidabad, Prayagraj. Her poems, articles, short stories and memoirs have been published in various newspapers and magazines. Talks, group discussions and dialogues have been broadcast on Akashvani and social media. She is a life member of various academic institutions. She has been honoured with many awards in the field of writing at national and international level. She has also been actively working for the education and rehabilitation of children from poor and deprived sections of the society. The motto of her life is – Charaiveti Charaiveti.
