About the book

Inspired by true events, the novel takes place in the village of “Chandpur.” Samrat the 8-year-old kid, who belonged to a reputed Zamindar family like any other child, was in his world, unaware of the realities of life. His father Mr. Ashwin Rai a kindhearted, helpful, a principle-oriented man, and a landlord, took care of all the lands provided to their great grandfathers by the King with the only aim to help people of the village. Things begin to complicate when Samrat finishes his class 10th and comes back after a vacation at his uncle’s house in Raigarh city when he loses someone important in his life. Being a teenager, he now struggles between his emotions and customs bound by rural society and accepting new changes. Owing to his being the eldest son of his big joint family, he takes the responsibility of his 2 younger brothers and a younger sister with paternal uncles, grandfather, grandmother. Though, destiny planned otherwise for him because of his athletic abilities, helping him get noticed by people. He went with the flow as life took him and followed destiny.
