Description
This book is an interesting, enjoyable, and informative read for the lay public, about feminine health, yet holds gentlemen spellbound in simple language, unlike a medical textbook, without medical jargon clutter. Based primarily on a fulltime Obstetrician & Gynaecologist’s experience of over four decades, this covers almost all the problems with which a woman consults a doctor such as adolescent problems, bleeding disorders, infertility, abortions, preterm deliveries, multiple pregnancies, abnormal deliveries, Caesareans, tumours in uterus and ovaries, uterus surgeries, tubal pregnancies and test tube pregnancies.A few health topics outside Gynaecology are included which make an interesting read.
About The Author
The author is an Obstetrician and gynaecologist who worked delightfully in that post for more than four decades. She availed self-retirement at the age of 70, to enjoy life as a model housewife caring for her ailing husband together with a bit of social, cultural and religious activities along with cooking, reading, writing and travelling. However, Gynecology is so much in her blood that she can not deny her former patients’ calls to clear their doubts. Despite several occasions of grave tension in labour rooms, operation theatres, and inpatient wards she mustered the strength to overcome such calamities in a big way with the backing of a supportive family: so essential for a woman to succeed as a gynaecologist. Her husband, son, and daughter-in-law are all doctors while her daughter is an engineer with an engineer spouse. She loves her profession so much that she would pursue this same profession in her next birth too.
