Description
Purano Bairer Ghor is a book of nostalgia, a book of reminiscence. Author had spent her childhood in the Nawab’s capital city Murshidabad and has very fond memories of her house ‘Malati Kutir’, situated on the shores of Bhagirathi River. She hails from one of the zamindar families of Murshidabad and is deeply rooted to the city’s heritage. This book is a mirror of author’s childhood memories and at the same time an attempt to bring out the forgotten traditions of Murshidabad which once used to be the heart and soul of Bengal’s yesteryears.
