About the book
‘Prakriti Prageet’ is a collection of poems written by the author over the years about the complexities of human nature reflected in even the simplest things around us.
The poems touch upon emotions we all go through, our hopes and aspirations as well as our fears and insecurities.
There are lessons all around us, from the ground beneath us to the sky above, everything has a story to tell, a lesson to teach, a cry to be heard and a laugh to be shared.
From a houseplant that feels restricted by the roof over its head to the story of a drop of water as it moves from sea to cloud and back again, there is a lot in nature that holds up a mirror to our own lives and the challenges we face.
The poem ‘Boond’ deals with the harms of the prevalent competitive culture in our society. ‘Nadi’ tells the story of the struggles faced by a river to meet the sea but as soon as it does, it loses its own identity. ‘Maa’ stresses on how we often take those closest to us for granted while we are together and don’t realise the value of our time together till its too late.
There are 49 such poems in the book, each that resonates well with the reader. The aim of these poems is self reflection.
