METAVERSE GLOSSARY – YOUR GATEWAY TO THE FUTURE

Metaverse is the most talked, understood and misunderstood topic these days, and every other industry today is trying to define it in their own way to suit their narrative. It would end up creating many sub-metaverses, with different sets of features and, would lead to confusions, and conflict of interests. Acceptable definition of Metaverse will evolve with time. At this stage, I treat the metaverse as a result of technological evolutions in the key areas such as ARVR, AI, Cloud, Blockchain, 5G/6G and hardware. Metaverse adoption will also depend on the further evolution of these technological areas. In fact, the metaverse is touted to be the next natural step in the evolution of the internet with use cases to boot – as The Next Internet or Web 3.0.Every evolution comes with its own pros and cons, the same is also true metaversal evolution, it matures with time. It is important for the leaders in enterprises, governments, institutions, educators and people to join hands, give the metaverse a right shape and direction.
