Description
ABOUT THE BOOK
Reconstruction is an integral part in the management of head and neck cancer. Myocutaneous and local flaps remain a major option in the management of head and neck defects. Their current role is largely limited to cutaneous defects and secondary reconstructions of failed free tissue transfer or primary reconstruction in centres where free tissue is not available. Pedicled flaps are usually straightforward to both use and harvest and should be in the surgical repertoire of every head and neck surgeon. This book covers myocutaneous flaps used in head and neck reconstruction in a comprehensive manner. We hope the readers can implement the techniques and variations in their practice for the best of patients’ benefit.
