About the book
‘How to become money-wise’ is a story of 3 close friends studying in grade 5. They are all 10 years old and while they love studies, they also greatly enjoy music, video games, volleyball and hanging out together. One unique and adventurous chapter in their lives starts when they get into a strange study module at their school. The study module about ‘stock market’ makes them excited about the stock market jargons and scary terminologies. They jump into it, steadily and intelligently deciphering the code of mysterious stock market world.
The fun they have along the way is contagious. The teamwork and resourcefulness of the friends enable them to make inroads into the market knowledge. Further, the twist of playing the game is so much like real world and at the same time easy to replicate for the readers too. The curious kids also share a glimpse of their school life and their personal time. As the story unfolds, these 10 year old kids gain insights into investment options, various asset classes, the decision making, and research around the key aspects of investment. They take us through a learning journey via their simplified day-to-day discussions. Taking a small step at a time gives the readers the required breather to grasp the content in one’s own style.

About the author
Shreyanshi is a 10 year old girl and one of the youngest authors in the world. She is an awardee of 4 World Records for her debut poetry book “Pandemic 2020: Poetic Winter Evenings”. She also holds a ‘Grand Master’ title from the prestigious Asia Book of Records for her debut book.
Shreyanshi learnt the concepts of stock market during her ‘Gifted Talent’ class module on ‘the stock marget game’, in grade 5 at her school. She worked on this book during her grade 5 days while the learning was still fresh. She cherishes her days of hands-on learning of the ‘stock market’ know-hows. The energetic & engrossing conversations with her friends, learning the salient points about investment options and doing the research work behinds the decision making, have all contributed to a rewarding journey for her.
Garima K., the co-author, is a post-grad in management with specialization in Finance and Marketing from one of the top business schools, Indian School of Business (ISB). ISB ranked #1 in India and #23 globally in The Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2021. She witnessed the rigor with which her 10 year old learnt the Stock Market concepts, not just exploring the topics with her friends but also at discussing and sharing at home with parents. This inspired this story to come into being. The fictional story runs in parallel with the conceptual understanding of the stock market mystery.
The author duo wants this book to reach all the kids and grown-ups alike, for them to enjoy the ride which the 3 kids in story take while they gradually demystify the stock market. The authors wish to encourage the readers across the globe to get a flavor of savings and investment, moving them beyond the spending circle, and get inspired to understand a very crucial aspect of life which is the value of money. They also hope that the readers enter the investment world on strong foot with the learning of how to add value to their wealth, leveraging the tools and techniques from this book as guiding pointers.
