This is the English translation of Vimal’s Hindi Book of Poetry “Khoye Hue Prishth”. These are the poems of 2020. This book has been translated into Urdu, Kashmiri, Punjabi and Persian recently. These poems are the reflections of Indian wisdom and philosophy having universal appeal. According to Patricia M, the American poetry critic, “These poems are the hymns of today & tomorrow having a relation with the past too.” Like other poetic collections of Satish Vimal, these small poems are so big in impact that they transcend the borders of place, language, culture and time and reach out to one and all globally. ‘Folios of lost Treasure’ are the poems of Tagore’s India. Mushtaq B Barq is a poet, a short story writer, translator and a critic, who has many poetic translations to his credit. He has translated famous Kashmiri sufi-poets Wahab Khar and Soche Kral into English. His elucidative work on the sufi-philosophy entitled Wings of Love has earned him applauds throughout the world. His other books Feeble Prisoner, The Streak of Light, Withered Petals and Shades and Shadows have been acclaimed in English Literary circles. The American Poetry Association has awarded him Editor’s Choice Poetry Prize in 2007. He is also the recipient of Khillat-e-Noor felicitation for his writings on sufi thought in Kashmir.”
