Description
I, Harmeet Kaur, am the author of this book (Facebook wala love). An author from a village called Korki Kalan, a district: Moga and a state: Punjab. I have achieved many degrees throughout my academic years in Khalsa Girls College Ludhiana. More specifically, a double M. A. in Punjabi and history, a B. Ed. and Gyanni are my main successes. I got married to a young man from Greece back on 14 February, 1999. I now have 3 children (a little boy and 2 beautiful girls). I remember myself getting gradually more and more fond of writing when I was in school. However, due to family-based obligations, I was not able to follow my passion. After many years having accepted my fate of being a simple housewife my elder daughter came up to me one day and insisted on me following the career path I had originally planned. She motivated me by claiming that it is wrong to suppress any desires deep in our heart. Instead, we should always be after our dreams to complete our utter ambitions. This book is the result of continuous struggle over a course of one and a half year trying to revise everything I learned about Punjabi literature in the past. Hence, I believe that our intentions and motives are what determine our final destination. This story is based on 2 married couples where friendship gradually takes the form of love. This story was inspired by the married life of my friend. Given all this, I decided to write not only a simple story about a married couple, but also to explain the implications of modern technology on them to my readers. In my opinion it is of vital importance for the people living in today’s society to be aware of the multiplications of this situation. – Harmeet Kaur.
