About the book

The essential philosophy of Yajnya is sacrifice, based on which the whole creation has survived. The division of the sacrifices into five prominent parts (Pancha Mahaa-Yajnya) as reflected in the first ethical law book of human society – Manusmruti, stands as the highest ecological ethics of the world for sustenance of life. The teacher renders knowledge to the student without any self-motive, should be reciprocated with utmost respect (Rrushi Yajnya). The parents foster their children selflessly, should not be neglected at their old age or diseased condition (Pitru Yajnya). The nature is ever open for all, irrespective of one’s biological, ecological and social status; needs sufficient care and alertness to avoid any over pressure (Deva Yajnya). The biodiversity around the humanity is the chief source of breath, food and shelter; should be conserved with utmost priority (Bhoota Yajnya). Human interrelation within family environment and social atmosphere should stand with the sacrifice only to make it firm and strengthen (Nrru Yajnya). Research on these five great sacrifices from various angles such as Daily Rituals, Tantra, Yoga, Gita and Social Festivals during the period 2008 to 2020 is reflected in this book. The human body is elaborated as an epicentre of Yajnya. Moreover, the Pancha Yajnya philosophy is lucidly presented in Bible, one can follow accordingly.
