ABOUT THE BOOK

The book ‘Law and Legal Methods’ attempts to provide a broader, yet simple, explanation of the basics of law and legal methods. This book introduces the concept of law and the socio-political foundations of the legal environment. Nature functions classifications and sources of law are discussed with examples. The book also deals with the evolution of the Legal System in India During British Rule and after independence. The last chapter deals with the techniques and methods of Legal Research and Writing.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Bhup Singh Gaur is a JNU Alumni, Head and Associate Professor, President NWISA 2018-20, Convenor, Rc21 Political sociology, ISS, Editor, Newsletter TG03 ISA, already Published six books and two are in Process, Published articles in Journals, Presented papers and invited as Guest speaker in International, National conferences, seminars, workshops. His area of Research in sociology are sociology of Marginalised sections, Political Sociology, Sociology of Gender, and Media Studies.
Mangal Singh is an Advocate. He is also pursuing research in the Department of Law, MDU Rohtak. He has published several Articles and Presented Research Papers at International and National Conferences. He is actively involved in asking people about legal awareness. His area of interest in SC/ST Act, Constitutional Law, and Sociology of Law.
Dr. Tran Vang-Phu is a lecturer of law at Law School, Can Tho University, Vietnam. He holds a master’s degree (LL.M) from Chulalongkorn University, Thai Lan in 2016 (First class honors) and a Doctoral Degree (LL.D) from the University of Economics and Law – Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in 2022 (First class honors). He is also a Commercial Arbitrator, currently, Dr. Vang-Phu is a Deputy Director of the APEC VN International Commercial Arbitration Center. His research interests are Land and Real Estate Law, International Trade Law, Environment law, Human rights, and Comparative law.
Keerthiraj is a Political Science and International Politics faculty at Alliance School of Liberal Arts, Alliance University, Bengaluru. His research and teaching interests generally fall into the sub-fields of Political Science with a focus on Political Ideology, Foreign Policy, Diplomacy, Security Studies, Strategy, etc. He is the author of several books and has also been published widely in academic and popular outlets. KAPSA® recognized Keerthiraj with the ‘Young Academic Excellence Award in Political Science – 2020’. He holds membership in professional bodies like International Political Science Association (Canada), Association for Political Theory (USA), the International Society for Development and Sustainability (Japan), etc.
