This is an introductory textbook on Microeconomics designed mainly for B.A. Economics of undergraduate level as per CBCS syllabus. This book provides basic principles and concepts of Microeconomics. Introduction to Microeconomics is impressive and extremely comprehensive textbook of Economics. It covers suitable and relevant topics of Microeconomics. The book is divided into six chapters viz. Basics of Microeconomics, Market Forces, Elasticity of Demand and Supply, Cardinal approach, Ordinal approach and Theory of Production. At the end of each chapter of this book, some of the important concepts/terms concerning the chapters have been defined in easy and simple language for the benefit of the readers.

About the author

Dr. Mohd Ummer Jan Padder is an alumnus of the Bharathiar University. He has done his Postgraduate in Barkatullah University and M. Phil and Ph.D. in Bharathiar University. Presently he is teaching in higher education in Department of Economics. The author has published many research papers in UGC Care and Peer Reviewed journals. He has published a book (Status of Education) and also presented many research papers in national and international conferences.
Dr. Niyaz Ahmad Sheikh, M.A., M. Phil, Ph. D, has been working as a lecture in higher education in the department of Political Science. He has published many research papers in UGC Care and Peer Reviewed journals. The author has also published three books.
