About the author

An aluminous of IIT Delhi, the author spent the first half of his active career with the Government of India and the remaining half with the National Housing Bank. His special areas of interest pertained to the construction of rural and urban houses in earthquake prone areas. At various points of time he was sponsored to various universities and institutions in England, Australia, Canada and Philippines. He also visited several other countries out of his own interest. He is an ardent reader and a writer and accordingly has had several technical papers to his credit which were presented at various National and International Seminars and Conventions. He had also brought out a large number of professional publications which were quite popular amongst the technical experts. Post retirement, he continues to pursue his interests in acquiring knowledge, traveling and writing. His first published travelogue was ‘Destination Eastern Europe’ which was widely acclaimed. He has now come up with this travelogue to share his experiences of the trip of Northern Europe with others.
