Bazbahadur Rupmati is a Historical novel based on True and eternal love Story of Afghan King -Sultan of Malwa Bazbahadur and Rupmati who was known to be the most beautiful girl of that region. Both Bazbahadur and Rupmati were music lovers totally dedicated to the pure immortal music. Music was their passion and this brought them together and flowered to an eternal and pure love where there was no place for worth, status, religion or any other wordly differences. The novel says about their selfless love which ends with sacrifice and tragedy. Mandav (Mandu) is a beautiful historical place of Malwa of present MP which had witnessed the love of these two lovers and tragic end of this lovely relationship. The Afghan-Mughal battles and all other historical facts have been described here with full genuineness. The natural beauty and the glory of Mandav, immense and endless beauty of Rupmati have also been narrated in a very literary manner which reflects the deep study and hard effort of the author on the subject. The regime of Bazbahadur as Sultan of Malwa confined to a very short period of 7 years i.e. 1555-1562. This is a worth reading hindi novel wherein some acceptable urdu words have also been used which creats a beautiful impact in the mind of the readers while reading it . The flow of language is continuous and easy which is the literary especiality of this novel. The author of this novel Late Laxmi Dutt Sharma ‘ Anjan ‘ wrote this only historical novel but unfortunately this could not be published during his life time. His son-in-law Mr. Santosh Mohanty ‘ Deep ‘ edited and published this novel Bazbahadur –Rupmati after his death, posthumously.
About Author
Late Laxmidutt Sharma ‘ Anjan ‘ the author of this historical novel was a man of simplicity and literary. He also served in the Army Medical Core of Indian Army with full sincerity and dedication. He got an opportunity to stay in Mandav for quite a long period where he was a manager in a Straw Board Company. He came in contact with Mr. Viswnath Sharma a famous historian and guide of Mandav. There he inspired to write historical novel based on the love story of Afghan King Bazbahadur and most beautiful girl Rupmati. After continuous study and hard work the novel was completed by him then he gave the manuscript for its publication to his son-in-law Mr. Santosh Mohanty ‘Deep’ who was that time serving in Bank of Baroda. Unfortunately he could not publish this novel in the life time of the author and at last the author passed away in Sept 2011. After the death of author Late Laxmidutt Sharma ‘ Anjan ‘ , his son-in-law Santosh Mohanty took voluntary retirement and took this as a project. He did the editing and publishing work and launched this novel in 2016 worldwide. This historical novel was appreciated by the readers specially for its historical authenticity, love relations, literary level and good language flow. This Second Edition of this hindi historical novel Bazbahadur-Rupmati no doubt will also be definitely accepted and appreciated by the readers on its word wide publication.
