About the author
Avijeet Das is a poet and a writer from New Delhi, India. He loves traveling and discovering new places, cultures, and languages and is a firm believer in the spreading of peace and love for creating a better world. He ardently supports causes relating to environment, girl child education, women’s empowerment, and equality in the world. He respects all the religions and celebrates the festivals of diverse faiths. He is a passionate writer, who believes that his writing is a necessity for him. It is his Mojo. He writes from a primordial urge emanating from within him to create and to breathe life into characters inspired from people, whom he knows and meets in his everyday life. His work has been published in acclaimed journals and magazines. His poetry book “A Handful of Shiulis” was published, in September 2017, by Clare Songbirds Publishing House, New York. An art film “Muse” infusing his poetry with the digital artistry of Harvard University Artist, Carla Ciuffo, received applause in film festivals in 2018. Further in 2018, he made it to the Wild Card Number 6th position in the long list of Saboteur Awards UK, affiliated to the UK Arts Council. His poetry amalgamating with the photography of Vanessa Thomas of Dublin Arts Collective, featured in “Worth 1000 Words Art Exhibition-2019” in Bankhead Theater, California.
