Description
About The Book :
Sarnath Chatterjee, 27, an ordinary Bengali boy from Kolkata, is tired of living a life of pretence. In five years, he has changed companies as often as he changes clothes.
On his resume, his “two years of experience” at some of these companies shine brightly, assuring new managers of his solid knowledge, but humiliation follows. Rent, food, and money sent home have swallowed every salary, leaving him almost hand to mouth every month.
At his lowest point, he has thoughts of ending his life. He shares them with his sister, attends counselling sessions, and learns that the thought is pain, not truth. Then he rejects a thousand ideas until, with an AI assistant’s help, he settles on an online store with ₹10,000.
With no website, he builds up social media as his selling platform, turning scrolling into a skill and using AI wisely. A flooded supplier, a harsh review, and blunders test him before he makes a crore in profit.
But the real victory is at home, among his own.
A story for anyone feeling lost or late.
About The Author :
Born and raised in Kolkata, he is a 27-year-old Bengali who grew up in a nuclear family where Rabindranath came before Shakespeare. His dreams smell of the city’s old bookshops, tram bells, and monsoon-soaked evenings.
He graduated in Commerce and built a career in digital marketing, spending his days with numbers, narratives, and attention spans. But his real work happens elsewhere. He dreams of a utopian world, one where kindness is the default setting and people have room to be curious, unhurried, and free. At heart, he is a man of two geographies: a cozy corner at home with ‘machh bhat’ (the Bengali’s true religion) and the wide horizon of the earth, where the sky has no boundary. He writes from the space between the two.
