Ravi Verma is a seasoned expert in plastics engineering, holding an M.Tech and an MBA, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. With more than 10 years of experience in the plastics industry, he has built a strong foundation in both industrial applications and academic research. His expertise spans a wide range of critical environmental and materials science domains, including plastic waste utilization, plastic waste management, microplastics, biodegradable plastics, heavy metals, solar and defence sector applications, and the environmental impact of plastics on agriculture and marine ecosystems. He is also actively engaged in research on the production of activated carbon and the regeneration of spent activated carbon from plastic waste, contributing significantly to sustainable material innovation and circular economy practices. Ravi has authored more than 20 research papers published in reputed national and international journals, contributed to 2 book chapters and 1 book, and holds more than 5 patents, reflecting his commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and technological innovation. His research has played a vital role in promoting sustainable solutions to plastic pollution and developing environmentally responsible materials. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he received the Best Research Paper Presentation Award at the International Conference (COII-24) in February 2024 and a Top 5% ranking in the SCI Global Index 2025 individual category.
