Description
The Yajna of Transformation: The Physics of Being and Becoming is a profound exploration of existence through a unifying vision that places energy at the heart of reality. Drawing from Vedic insight and resonating with the evolutionary thought of Sri Aurobindo, the book reinterprets yajna not as ritual, but as a universal process—life itself as a continuous act of transformation.
At its core, the work proposes that all existence is a continuum of energy: in its latent state, it appears as Being; in its dynamic expression, as Becoming. Consciousness is not an external addition to this process but arises when energy becomes aware of itself.
Through a blend of poetic reflection and philosophical inquiry, the book traces the movement by which energy first veils its own awareness—descending into matter—and then gradually reawakens through life, mind, and human experience. In this unfolding, we are not separate observers, but participants in a cosmic yajna, where transformation is both the means and the meaning of existence.
Both intimate and expansive, the book invites readers to reconsider the nature of reality, identity, and evolution—not as abstract concepts, but as living processes already at work within and around us.
About The Author
Ravi K. Dhar, a Doctorate in English Literature, has been a disciple of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother since the age of twenty, following profound inner experiences that led him to explore the nature of truth at a spiritual level. Deeply influenced by Vedic thought and the Integral Yoga tradition, his work brings together poetic intuition and philosophical rigour.
Often describing himself as “a monk in a business suit,” he has combined a life of inner inquiry with a long academic and institutional career. He served as Founder Director of Jagannath International Management School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, for nearly two decades, and has taught as Professor of Communication Studies at North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, and Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.
The Yajna of Transformation: The Physics of Being and Becoming is the culmination of decades of reflection and inner practice— a work that seeks to articulate the dynamics of existence as a process of energy becoming aware of itself.
