About The Author
Ramneet Kalra
Ramneet Kalra is a poet and photographer whose work
dwells in the hushed space where observation becomes
emotion. Rooted in attentive looking and patient
listening, his creative practice moves slowly, allowing
meaning to surface in silences as much as in words or
images.
Through lyrical, spare language and carefully composed
photographs, Ramneet explores themes of belonging,
migration, memory, and the fragile negotiations of an
inner life shaped by distance. His work is deeply
informed by the experience of living between places—of
carrying one landscape in the body while learning the
weather, light, and rhythms of another.
Born with an eye for unnoticed details and a heart drawn
to stories beneath the surface, he often describes his
creative process as “listening with both the lens and the
page.” His work has appeared in multiple exhibitions
across New Brunswick, Canada and literary spaces,
where it’s recognized for its emotional clarity and
minimalist beauty.
When he isn’t writing or chasing light through a camera
viewfinder, Ramneet can be found wandering new cities,
collecting fragments of conversations, and documenting
the quiet truths hidden in everyday shadows. His work
invites readers and viewers to pause, lean into the quiet,
and rediscover the overlooked beauty threaded through
ordinary moments.
