Antiquity of Bharat is a bold and deeply researched exploration of India’s forgotten civilizational past. Drawing extensively from the Rig Veda, humanity’s oldest surviving texts, it situates India as a foundational civilizational force whose cultural memories may extend back nearly 34,000 years, preserved through oral tradition, symbolism, and ritual continuity.

Through compelling evidence from sites such as the Saraswati basin, Attirampakkam, Dwarka, and the Indus–Saraswati region, alongside astronomical references in the Ramayana and Mahabharata, the book reveals how science and tradition converge. It presents archaeological records indicating organized, settled, and technologically capable societies in the subcontinent dating back over 7,500 years, while also tracing the global footprint of Indic knowledge through the spread of Vedic concepts, river names, mythic structures, and the enduring presence of the Ramayana across Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and beyond.

About The Author

Pankaj Lochan is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of diverse experience in Manufacturing, Projects, Human Resources, Management, R&D, and Business Transformation. A Mechanical Engineer from IIT-BHU and an alumnus of the Management Education Program at IIM Ahmedabad, Pankaj has made significant contributions across various industries including Steel, Power, Cement, Pharma, Chemicals, and Engineering.
Throughout his career, Pankaj has worked with prominent business groups such as Tata Steel, Dr. Reddy’s, JSW, Ambuja Cements, Jindal Steel & Power, and the Padmanabh Mafatlal Group. He is a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma and holds numerous patents and copyrights in Total Quality Management. His expertise extends to Lean, Theory of Constraints (TOC), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Pankaj has led successful Deming Prize initiatives in 2018 and 2019 and has received advanced training in Innovations from the Haas School and in TQM from the Japanese Union of Scientists & Engineers (JUSE) in Tokyo.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Pankaj has authored seven books on Total Quality Management and Human Resources and two works of fiction. After his successful tenth book, “The Master of Your KPIs”, with his eleventh book, he ventures in a new domain – History!
