Description

The history of books begins with the invention of writing, along with other inventions such as paper and printing. The invention of the printing press in the 15th century marked a significant turning point, revolutionizing book production. Books play a vital role in everyone’s life, introducing them to the world of imagination, providing knowledge of the outside world, improving their reading, writing, and speaking skills, and enhancing memory and intelligence. Braj is a region located in North India. Its geographical area extends across Mathura, Agra, Etah, Aligarh, and Bateshwar in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatpur and Dholpur in Rajasthan, Nuh and Palwal in Haryana, and Gwalior and Morena in Madhya Pradesh. This region is a proposed state. Many legends are prevalent in this Braj region, which spans eighty-four kos (a unit of distance). The Surasena kingdom, from 500 BCE to 700 CE, was a significant center of Buddhism and Jainism, and archaeological evidence suggests that it had a rich, multi-religious history before its strong association with Krishna devotion. Its capital was Mathura. Literary and cultural development flourished, and the local dialect, Braj Bhasha, became the common language of devotional poetry, with poets like Surdas, Mirabai, and Raskhan writing countless poems that popularized the stories of Radha and Krishna and conveyed the message of personal devotion to the people. Books based on Mathura and Vairanja are available in both English and Hindi, as Buddha himself visited Mathura, and his visit is mentioned in Buddhist literature. His 12th rainy season retreat was completed with difficulty in Vairanja (Atranjikhera)! Both authors are experienced; the first has had 36 books published by various publishers, and the second has had 10 books published.
