Description

Professor Dalvinder Singh Grewal has a Ph.D. in 3 subjects (management, English, and computer science) and PG in 9 subjects, i.e., MSc (Tech), MBA, MA (Eng.), LLB, DIM, ADIM, PGDHRM, PGCTE, and PGDTE. He is an established educational administrator, social worker, business executive, and writer. Born on April 4, 1945, in Chak 89JB, Lyallpur (undivided India), he married Gurcharan Kaur and has two sons. He is a graduate of Punjab University, a postgraduate of Pune, HP, and Meerut Universities, and Central Institute of English & Foreign Languages, Hyderabad, and IGNOU, and a doctorate from North Bengal, Centre for Himalayan Studies, and Punjab Tech University. He is now Professor Emeritus at Desh Bhagat University. He has been Dean of Desh Bhagat University, ex-Director Principal of Guru Nanak Dev Engg College, Ludhiana; Founder Principal of C.T College of Engg, Jalandhar; Chairman (Electronics) of J.M.I.T Radour, Yamunanagar; Registrar of Sant Longowal Inst of Engg & Techy; President (HRD) of Trident Group; Director of I.I.M.T; ex-Director Principal of Bhai Maha Singh College of Engg, Muktsar; ex-Group Director of G.T.B.K Group of Institutions Malout; and Adviser of Sri Sukhmani Group of Institutions, Chandigarh. He helped 12 UG and PG institutions and set up two universities. He has written 151 books, including Fundamentals of Nanotechnology, Introduction to Nanoelectronics, Nanotechnology, Language, Culture & Identity of Tribes of Arunachal Pradesh, Military Justice System, Kargil: A Post-mortem, Amazing Travels of Guru Nanak, and Travels of Guru Nanak to East and North-East. Scientific Vision of Guru Nanak; Word-The Master, Global Travels of Guru Nanak and Creation of Universe and Japuji explained on SGGS Basis; Forgotten Tribes; Bhai Takhat Singh among many others. Presently he is preparing Encyclopaedia Guru Nanak for OUP. He has also published over 360 papers and over 2000 articles. He has guided 18 PhD/M.Tech students. His awards include the International Leadership Award, ABI (USA) 1999; Man of the Year 2000; Bharat Excellence Award; Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha Award; Bhai Takhat Singh Award; Shiksha Rattan Award; Punjab Rattan Award; Best Achiever in Education by Govt of Punjab; Rising Personalities of India Award with Gold Medal; and Super Duper (Best Prof Award) Desh Bhagat Univ. His Name is included in World’s Who and South Asia Pacific.
