Keep Them Engaged!

A kindergarten teacher and a mother of a eight year old is a “Super Combo”. There are advantages and of course there are disadvantages of playing this dual role. The two roles actually compliment each other. Being a teacher/mother, you just do not think about the children at school as tiny individuals who need to be crammed with academic skills. Because of the dual role, the view is to develop the children as multi-facted individuals both and home and at school. As an individual, you think beyond school and become much more sensitive. When your own child comes home and says he got a smily etched in his right hand and his teacher hugged him, you can understand how significant it is!
In modern era, piling workloads and tightening work schedules leave parents with very short time to spend with their children. Mounting household chores cut through what little time they might manage to cook up. Very often, during the weekend, children get completely bored. As a result, parents usually turn to the go-to solution of today’s world, gadgets. These gadgets with their overflowing stream of contents, keep children engaged day-in and out.
The current work is an attempt to collate together a couple of activities with which we can keep the children engaged. These activities can be taken up at home with minimal materials. Kindergarten teachers can also consider these activities to be taken up during fun periods or they may give them as homework so that the kids are all engrossed during the weekends. The activities will bring packets of joy for the always enthusiastic kids and would be able to put a smile on their faces.
